In Bears class we have been using the school ipads during our ICT lessons. We have been working with a partner to go on the internet to find out about African animals. We’ve found out lots of interesting facts and even watched videos of lion cubs. They are brilliant and we love using them!
I would just like to say how brilliant the Bears are! They are working so hard to improve their writing at the moment, and some children are even doing extra writing at home. They have all completed some excellent writing about the book Handa’s Surprise.
Keep up the great work, Bears!
On Tuesday a visitor from School Waste Action came into school to talk to the children about the importance of recycling. The children learnt about how worms help to recycle compost and also discovered lots of interesting facts about worms. Did you know that worms can’t hear or see? The children really enjoyed having a closer look at the worms!
On Monday 11th March we celebrated World Book Day. The children all looked wonderful dressed up as their favourite book characters. In Bears, we learnt all about the author Giles Andreae, who has written some of our favourite stories such as Giraffes can’t Dance, Rumble in the Jungle and Pants! We also had a visit from the famous author Karen King, who helped us to write some excellent stories. Everyone in Bears had a brilliant day!
